Ongoing rainfall across northern lower Michigan is expected to
mix with and eventually flip to a wet, sloppy snow through the
evening into the overnight hours, favoring areas away from the
immediate Great Lakes shorelines of northern lower Michigan. Snow
will likely struggle to stick to surfaces initially before
temperatures fall to near 32 degrees later tonight, which may
allow any ongoing snow to stick.
A general 1 to 3 inches of accumulation will be possible,
particularly across the higher terrain of north central lower
Michigan. As a result, roads may become slushy and slippery for
the morning commute on Thursday. Extra time may be required for
the commute, and remember to take it slow in ice and snow!
